Old hand says hello

Greetings everyone! Strangely enough I only now joined LQ despite having browsed it for various problem solving endeavors for years. I started with Linux on RedHat 6.2, around 1998 I would imagine. I am a long time Debian user but my current Linux installation is a Slackware one. I've used Linux professionally, but have lacked a Linux desktop at home for some time as my use cases just can't be fulfilled with Linux. Now that I acquired an old Lenovo ThinkPad, I was damn sure to install a Linux distribution on it and thought I'd go old school. Slackware 14.2 is indeed a blast from the past but in a good way.

So yeah. Hello to all equally!
