Australian gemcutter Cliff shows how to make a Cleopatra's Eye, a challenging task for even a highly experienced artisan. They can be made with any color gem, but this yellow one certainly picks up the light.
Via Cliff: "In this video watch me facet one of the world's most spectacular gems the "Cleopatra's Eye". The is a legendary gem design, and is well known within faceting circles. The gem is rarely seen faceted, as it is a difficult design to execute. I hope one day that all gem cutters get the chance to facet this wonderful gem."
