Man dead after Friday afternoon car crash

A man is dead after a single-vehicle collision near Wild Waterworks in Hamilton's north-east end.

Supt. Dave Thompson said Hamilton paramedics responded to a call for a collision at South Service Road and Lake Avenue Drive just after 4 p.m. on Friday.

Paramedics arrived on scene and found the patient extensively trapped and vital signs absent," Thompson said.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead on scene.

Thompson said he did not know what may have caused the collision.

The man's age is unknown.
