Facing a politically charged criminal trial, two popular crowdfunding platforms deleted campaigns to raise funds for the legal defense of 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who stands accused of first-degree homicide. A successful third campaign on a Christian crowdfunding platform has elicited outrage.

But we have nothing to fear from efforts to see that accused criminals are adequately defended in court.
