The Tennessee Titans are expecting to sign free-agent pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney, reports ESPN's Dianna Russini.

However, Clowney told NFL reporter Josina Anderson that he has not yet made a decision and is still fielding calls from teams.

The New Orleans Saints were reportedly also making a late push for Clowney, including multiple meetings with head coach Sean Payton. The Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars were also showing interest.

The former No. 1 overall draft pick may be playing on a one-year deal in back-to-back seasons. Clowney was franchise tagged by the Houston Texans last season and traded to the Seattle Seahawks on Aug. 31. He played out his $15-million deal with the Hawks, where he battled injuries for much of the season on his way to three sacks - a career-low in a season in which he played more than four games.

Should he sign with the Titans, Clowney would reunite with Mike Vrabel, who was a position coach with the Texans for the first three years of his career and his defensive coordinator in 2017. Vrabel is now Tennessee's head coach.

The Titans ranked 14th in sacks last season with 43 but traded Jurrell Casey - who was second on the team with five sacks - to the Denver Broncos.

Before last season, Clowney had nine sacks in 2018 and 9.5 in 2017.
