RAID (1) array... spin down the drives? Y or N

I've got a file server that I use for media and the SATA disks are getting a little old. The server can go for weeks without the files on the array being accessed.

Is there any pros/cons to spinning down the drives in the array after an hour of no access? I'm worried about shortening the life of the drive.
