OBS lagging really bad with the desktop screencast for wayland, Fedora 32

I'd really like to switch to Wayland, but the issue of screen recording is holding me back. The desktop screencast plugin is super laggy, you can see in this video, the problem exists in both Wayland and Xorg sessions, but different kinds of lag for each. I'm using the flatpak OBS, which comes with the plugin already installed. I tried the rpm-fusion version, but I can't get obs-gnome-screencast to compile. Looking at the terminal output from launching it, I can't find anything that seems like it would cause weird lag. I'm pretty sure that wayland error at the top is fine, since OBS has a major bug that makes it's Wayland backend unusable(any sort of preview of video is just transparent through the window). I don't really know how to go about troubleshooting this, and I can't find any other instances of this same issue anywhere online.

Fedora 32 GNOME, RX 560, all caught up with updates
I remember having this issue a long while back, many many months ago.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=R7zL3mqBa54:04bFhP6spXE:F7zBnMy latest?i=R7zL3mqBa54:04bFhP6spXE:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=R7zL3mqBa54:04bFhP6spXE:gIN9vFwR7zL3mqBa54
