Washington's Rivera: Kyler Murray 'gives me anxiety'

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray can beat teams through the air and on the ground, and that's putting Washington head coach Ron Rivera on edge.

"He's such an elusive guy, he gives me anxiety," Rivera told reporters on Wednesday, including The Athletic's Rhiannon Walker.

"... He's a dynamic player, he really is. He's got terrific athleticism, gets outside the pocket and extends plays. He's got great vision and anticipation and he delivers a great football," Rivera continued.

Rivera's Washington Football Team will have their hands full trying to contain the second-year quarterback this Sunday. Murray showed off the dual-threat ability he's known for in Week 1, throwing for 230 yards while adding another 91 yards on the ground.

Surprisingly, Rivera isn't the only head coach anxious about Sunday's contest, as Cardinals sideline boss Kliff Kingsbury said Washington's defensive line impresses him.

It was pretty nerve-wracking watching their film. The eight sacks, causing turnovers, causing fumbles, they were really, really good," Kingsbury said Wednesday, according to Kevin Zimmerman of Arizona Sports.

Washington's defensive line, which includes rookie pass-rusher Chase Young, could help ease some of Rivera's worries as the club prepares for Murray.
