VPN - Network manager
by zealbert from LinuxQuestions.org on (#58D5N)
Hello,
I am trying to figure out which VPN to use. I have Linux Mint 64 bit 19.3 Tricia. All of the VPN's I've looked at ask me to click on the "network manager" icon in the lower right panel, then click on "network settings". I have neither of those icons; I have an icon that looks like an ethernet port (I use a wired connection), and when I hover over it it just says "network". When I open it, there is no choice "network settings". Only "edit connection", connection information, VPN connections, etc. I installed OpenVPN, and the other two managers with it.
I am currently using IP Vanish, and it's just not working well at all, not connecting to most servers.
Would anybody have any advice also on which is the best user friendly VPN for P2P? I'd like to not have to use the terminal every time; something with a GUI interface would be good, but also need it to be really secure, mostly for torrenting.
Thanks!
