The Green Bay Packers moved to 3-0 with a win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night, and the driving force behind the victory was the blossoming connection between quarterback Aaron Rodgers and receiver Allen Lazard.

Rodgers and Lazard connected on two huge plays - a 48-yard pass in the second quarter and a 72-yarder in the third - that both led to touchdowns for Green Bay.

Lazard wasn't surprised that his quarterback dominated New Orleans downfield.

"I think we have the best deep-ball thrower in the league, if not NFL history, as well," said Lazard, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

The third-year wideout's 146 yards were a career high. He also caught one of Rodgers' three touchdown passes.

The star signal-caller and head coach Matt LaFleur appear to have found a new level of chemistry through the first three weeks of their second season together.

Green Bay's offense entered Week 3 as the NFL's top unit, averaging 505 yards and 42.5 points per game.

Despite top receiver Davante Adams being sidelined against the Saints with a hamstring injury, Rodgers and Co. didn't miss a beat in the NFC showdown.

"Right now, our offense, I feel really good about it," said the quarterback.

The Packers will try and stay hot in Week 4 against the winless Atlanta Falcons.
