Need help with Linux partition fix

Hi all,
I am having problem with RedHat linux partition, I have provision my server with extra additional pace, but some how the logical volume have not used and I can't initialize the volume. The root partition somehow link to this logical volume and shows it's full. I can do anything much on this volume (can't separate or initialize to be a useable volume). Any help can out there?
