The NFL has moved the Week 4 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots to Monday pending the results of point-of-care COVID-19 tests, it announced Sunday.

The game is set to kick off at 7:05 p.m. ET, and the originally scheduled Monday Night Football matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons will start at 8:50 p.m. ET.

Kansas City's COVID-19 tests Saturday all returned negative, a source told MMQB's Albert Breer. The league was awaiting results for the defending Super Bowl champions after quarterback Cam Newton reportedly tested positive for the virus.

All New England tests taken Sunday came back negative for a second straight day, sources told Schefter. Newton remains the Patriots' only positive.

The Chiefs-Patriots game was moved off the Sunday docket following Newton's results. Both clubs will undergo additional rounds of COVID-19 testing Sunday.

If the contest is indeed held Monday night, Kansas City will have to play three games in 11 days. The team's Week 5 tilt against the Las Vegas Raiders is scheduled for next Sunday, and its Week 6 matchup versus the Buffalo Bills will come on Thursday Night Football.

Jordan Ta'amu, a practice squad quarterback, has been the only Chiefs player to test positive.

The league has already removed one game from the Week 4 schedule, rebooking the Tennessee Titans-Pittsburgh Steelers affair for Week 7 due to the Titans' COVID-19 outbreak.
