Report: NFL looking into multiple unauthorized workouts involving Titans

The NFL and union are investigating multiple unauthorized workouts involving Tennessee Titans players after the team facility closed due to a COVID-19 outbreak, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

A group of players reportedly held a workout on Sept. 30 despite a directive from the league that banned such gatherings, and the new reported meetups involve more than just skill position players, Pelissero adds.

Tennessee's Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills appears in doubt after a player tested positive for the second straight day this week. The matchup currently remains on as scheduled, but the NFL will continue to evaluate the situation, according to Pelissero.

Players were told one option is to move Sunday's contest against the Bills to Monday or Tuesday in Nashville.

Possible penalties for unauthorized workouts could include fines, an altering of the club's draft position, or a loss of draft picks.
