Best distribution for navi 10 cards
by ffpp from LinuxQuestions.org on (#58XQM)
I am curious what disto is _fully_ usable with navi 10 cards. I have a Ryzen 5 system (3600x) with RX 5700 (non XT) card, and I'm yet to find a distribution that is flawless.
I had the fewest issues with Fedora (31 and 32). I'm playing HotS, Diablo III, Fallout Shelter and Idle Wizard runs for days and days...
I could install and use arch pretty well. Screen tearing issues, but everything works pretty much.
I haven't had success with Pop_OS, Debian. (constant lock-ups and such).
I couldn't even boot into Manjaro's install disk.
I even tried my first and still all time favorite Gentoo, but I don't have the time and patience now for trying.... (I know :) ) I had a working system, but wasn't able to start a graphical interface.
Never tried (and won't use) Mint, Ubuntu or Suse.
So I'm here to gather some input about users of navi 10 cards on linux. What works best for you guys?
