The Tennessee Titans closed their facility Sunday after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced, per ESPN's Turron Davenport.

"This morning we learned that a staff member tested positive. We have temporarily closed our facility and are in communication with the league on the next steps," the Titans said in a statement.

Tennessee - which is currently slated to play the Buffalo Bills in a rescheduled game Tuesday - reopened its facility and returned to practice Saturday after consecutive days without a positive test.

The Titans' Week 4 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers was pushed back to Week 7 as a response to the AFC South club's outbreak, which now includes 24 positives since Sept. 24.

The NFL and the players' union are reportedly investigating multiple unauthorized workouts involving Titans players while their team facility was closed.

Head coach Mike Vrabel insisted Saturday that his team was being "completely transparent" with the joint inquiry, while quarterback Ryan Tannehill said it's "easy to jump to conclusions" about Tennessee's culpability.

The New England Patriots were also reportedly forced to shut down their facility again Sunday after a new positive test. New England had reopened its facility Saturday as well.

The NFL still apparently plans for the Patriots' rescheduled game against the Denver Broncos to go ahead on Monday.
