The Denver Broncos are set to have their starting signal-caller back in Week 6.

Drew Lock was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report but head coach Vic Fangio expects the quarterback to play against the New England Patriots after missing two games with a shoulder injury.

"They took away the probable category, so the only choices are questionable ... or nothing," Fangio said, according to team writer Aric DiLalla. "So we're choosing questionable."

Fangio added Lock is "trending the right way" to return barring a pregame setback. Lock was a full participant at practice all week.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury in Week 2 and has attempted just 38 passes this season.

He had a shot to return last week but the Broncos' game versus the Patriots was postponed after New England registered multiple positive COVID-19 tests.

The Patriots reopened their facilities Thursday but were forced to cancel practice again Friday after receiving another positive case. The latest case reportedly isn't expected to affect Sunday's game.

Denver also listed running back Melvin Gordon (illness), tight end Noah Fant (ankle), and defensive tackle Mike Purcell (knee) as questionable for Week 6.
