Does wicd-client work on slackware-current?

Hello Guys,

I believe i have a problem with network manager that causes the computer to hard lock the system, so i can't use network manager. I tried to use wicd but it appears it no longer works in slackware current. Which is a problem for me. I also don't see a package for wicd on slackware-current 64bit. Is that because wicd no longer works on slackware?
