The Denver Broncos will get quarterback Drew Lock and running back Phillip Lindsay back from injury, as both players are active for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.

The 23-year-old passer will be making his first appearance since suffering a shoulder injury in Week 2. Lindsay, meanwhile, hasn't suited up since the Broncos' season-opening game.

Lock and Lindsay were listed as questionable heading into the matchup, but they both participated fully in practice this week.

The Broncos have dealt with inconsistent quarterback play during Lock's absence, relying on Jeff Driskel and Brett Rypien. Both signal-callers have made a start, and they combined for five touchdowns with six interceptions.

Lock has appeared in seven career games, throwing eight touchdown passes to just three interceptions.

Lindsay's return comes at a key time, as the Broncos will be without running back Melvin Gordon after he was ruled out due to an illness. Gordon is the team's leading rusher with 281 yards on the ground.

The opposition will also be welcoming back a talented player, as Patriots quarterback Cam Newton is making his first start since coming off the COVID-19 list.
