Odell Beckham Jr. was sent home from practice last week due to an illness, but the Cleveland Browns wide receiver was never concerned he caught COVID-19 while awaiting test results.

"Not in an arrogant way, I just don't think COVID can get to me. I don't think it's going to enter this body," Beckham said Wednesday, according to Jen Steer of Fox 8 News. "I don't want no parts of it. It don't want no parts of me. I think it's a mutual respect."

"I felt like it was the right thing to do to mention I may not have been feeling well, I just wouldn't want it to spread throughout the building if there was a case I would've possibly had it," he added, per Jake Trotter of ESPN.

Beckham eventually received two negative tests last week and was cleared to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The three-time Pro Bowler struggled in the 38-7 loss to the Steelers, racking up just two catches for 25 yards.

Last week, the NFL had eight new positive COVID-19 tests among players out of 38,800 tests administered. Since the league started monitoring each team's results, 47 players and 71 personnel have had the virus.
