Slackware versus OpenBSD on ARM

It didn't become 100% apparent how well Slackware functions until I installed OpenBSD across all of my ARM devices. The Pi3's installed okay, but WiFi was so slow, that using the Pi3 as a router is unacceptable with OpenBSD. The Pi4's require many hoops to jump through to install BSD on it, and I was unable to get passed the boot loader to install the OS. I was getting 4 long light flashes, and 4 short, which means "unsupported firmware" I think. I even got openBSD hacked together to run on my OrangePi R1, but there were issues there too. Maybe if I was more familiar with openBSD, then I might have had better successes, but I doubt it.
Yesterday I became frustrated after finding that my Alfa dual-band + bluetooth WNIC, simply didn't work due to no driver having been created. OpenBSD doesn't support bluetooth and I think 802.11n is the greatest wireless protocol available, regarding network speed. I am not a skilled C programmer, so porting the Linux driver to BSD was not going to happen.
What am I getting at here? Let this post be a big THANK YOU, to mozes for the arm port, and exaga for all the hard work to create/improve the sarpi installer. It really makes a big difference. Not only with time spent, but also the effort required. Shout out to sndwvs too, for his great work on arm64.
