Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones is questionable to face the Houston Texans on Sunday after suffering a calf strain during Thursday's practice, head coach Matt LaFleur announced Friday, according to Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

LaFleur added that Jones will be a game-time decision in Week 7.

The 25-year-old, who didn't practice Friday, is willing to play but he'll trust the team doctors to make that decision.

"I feel confident I can play, but I know that the trainers and doctors have the player's best interests in mind," he said, according to Stephen Watson of WISN 12 News.

Jones is an integral part of the Packers' offense. He led the NFL with 19 scrimmage touchdowns last season and currently tops the league in that category with seven scores through five games. He's also racked up 550 total yards in 2020.

The versatile runner last missed a game due to injury in 2018.

Veteran Jamaal Williams and second-round rookie AJ Dillon will lead Green Bay's backfield in Week 7 if Jones is unable to play.

LaFleur also said offensive tackle David Bakhtiari and cornerback Kevin King will be doubtful to face the Texans.

The 4-1 Packers will try to return to the win column against the Texans after suffering their first loss of the season last Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
