Debian 10: how to complete the installation?
by feb11 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#59J8C)
Hi,
I installed Debian 10 on my laptop. I did that by downloading DVD1 which is the 1st part of the complete 3-DVD distro, copied it to a usb stick, booted it, and did the install. Now I would like to install packages which are in DVD2 and DVD3 iso's, so that a have a complete system. I would like to install the 2nd and 3rd batches over the network. What do I run on the command line to install the remaining batches?
I read base-config is obsolete and is not available. I did some searches and tried various things but apt-setup, dpkg-reconfigure were not available. tasksel didn't do anything and just exited. I figured maybe I could use apt-get but for 'apt-get install' I need to indicate names of individual packages, and there are hundreds of them, so this is not an option.
So, how do I enter the installer again and complete the installation?
Thanks
