The Dallas Cowboys reportedly have made other teams aware that pass-rusher Everson Griffen is available for trade, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Griffen signed a one-year, $6-million deal with the Cowboys in the offseason after opting out of his contract with the Minnesota Vikings earlier in the year.

Any team acquiring the veteran pass-rusher would be on the books for the remainder of his salary, which rounds out to be about $3 million, Rapoport adds.

A four-time Pro Bowler, Griffen was expected to help Dallas' pass rush, but he hasn't put together his best body of work. He's recorded just 2.5 sacks through seven games this season.

The Cowboys have struggled this year, and their latest loss to the Washington Football Team dropped their record to 2-5. Dallas has had trouble stopping opposing offenses as their defense has allowed 243 points this season, most in the NFL.
