For the fourth straight season, the Portland Timbers clinched a playoff berth after defeating the Los Angeles Galaxy, 5-2. Jaroslaw Niezgoda scored two goals in the first half for the Timbers to give him seven on the season. Cristian Pavon added two goals of his own for LA Galaxy in the loss.
