OBS causing Gnome to crash
by TheJooomes from LinuxQuestions.org on (#59SNX)
I compiled and installed the gnome screencast plugin today so I could screencast on Wayland(OBS via rpm fusion), but it's causing OBS to crash Gnome. When I launch it, about a minute later the Gnome session will crash. If I launch it, close it, then launch it again, it will crash Gnome immediately on the second launch. I see 3 things that could be the issue: It's something I can fix with help, It's a bug with OBS, or It's a bug with Gnome. I don't know where to begin troubleshooting this, apart from providing what info I think is useful from journalctl. If we can't fix it here, then I guess I'm gonna have a bug report to write, but for OBS or Gnome? I also have the same issue with the flathub version of OBS, but on top of that, it's extremely laggy.
