Niagara Regional Police are asking people to come forward with dash cam or cell phone footage to help them piece together multiple shootings in Niagara Falls Halloween night.

Shots were fired just before midnight in the area of Ellen Avenue and Centre Street, a block away from Clifton Hill in the tourist district. A release issued by police does not state how many people were shot, but online reports from people in the area say it was at least three, with one taken by helicopter to hospital.

Police say all of the victims suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries."

The incident occurred in the area of Jack's Cantina bar, which was hosting a Halloween costume contest running from 7 p.m. to midnight.

At least four police cruisers were still in the area Sunday morning. Ellen Avenue was taped off and closed to traffic from Centre Street to Walnut Street.

Police did not indicate whether the shooting was related to separate gunfire in the Town of Lincoln at about 12:10 a.m. Sunday, near Fracchoni Drive and Cachet Court. A male was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are asking witnesses to the Falls shootings or anyone with information to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, ext. 8422.
