One dead in Lincoln shooting
Niagara police homicide unit is investigating an overnight shooting in Lincoln that left one man dead.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, officers arrived in the area of Fracchioni Drive and Cachet Court in Lincoln, responding to a suspicious person complaint.
Sounds of gunshots had been heard and, after a search by officers, a dead man was found in a residence.
Homicide detectives assumed control of the investigation.
A heavy police presence in the area is expected for the remainder of Sunday.
Police said it appears to be a targeted shooting.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area and has dash cams or video surveillance to review their video footage and contact detectives or Crime Stoppers.
