new install, I have sudo privileges but not good enough to install printer authentication failure
by OhioGuy from LinuxQuestions.org on (#59WA8)
After 5 days and 10 tries I finally succeeded in getting a working desbian system.
I spent most of the day installing and removing packages.
Tonight I decided to install my printer. Should be a piece of cake since it is a brother and they were nice enough to write a script and provide excellent directions for this OS.
Except, everytime I try to run the file and asked for my root password I get authentication failure.
https://support.brother.com/g/b/faqe...aq00100556_000 is the directions and where I got the file
they are in my ~/Downloads (BTW what's up with the capital D?)
yes I was able to unpack the file.
I have also noticed the tree command doesn't work bash: tree: command not found
was that just on the raspberry PI?
as always, thank you for your patience.
