Question about slackpkg, /extra and llvm
by refaelsh from LinuxQuestions.org on (#59ZQ3)
Hi all,
I did a fresh install of Slackware64 14.2 Stable in a VM (I am Slackware newbie/sh), and immediately after installation did this:
Code:# slackpkg update
# slackpkg install-new
# slackpkg upgrade-all
# slackpkg upgrade patchesI expected to find LLVM updated from 3.8.0 (this was the version when 14.2 Stable was released) to LLVM 8.0.1 (that is the version of LLVM now in 14.2 Stable), but it was not the case.
What `slackpkg` command do I need to update/upgrade packages from /extra (LLVM is in /extra)?
Thanks.
P.S.
I need this new LLVM for Rust, and I need Rust because I want this: https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...arch=alacritty.
