The Atlanta Falcons fined Takkarist McKinley an undisclosed amount of money after the pass-rusher called out the franchise on social media for not moving him by Tuesday's trade deadline, reports Jason Butt of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

McKinley tweeted that the Falcons rejected multiple trade offers for him and ended his tweet with clown-face emojis. According to the former first-round pick, Atlanta rejected an offer for him that included a second-round selection as well as a proposal with multiple draft picks.

However, sources told Butt that the Falcons didn't receive any such trade offers over the past two seasons despite discussing trading McKinley to multiple teams.

"The wrong way to go about (it) is definitely the way Takk is handling it now with a pout," Falcons interim head coach Raheem Morris said Wednesday.

McKinley has amassed just eight tackles and one sack through four appearances this season. He's missed four games due to injuries and has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Denver Broncos with a groin ailment.

The 26th overall pick from the 2017 draft has racked up 17.5 career sacks.
