Anthony Lynn struggled to stomach another crushing defeat Sunday after a replay reversal wiped away a potential victory for his Los Angeles Chargers over the Las Vegas Raiders.

"We've been kicked in the gut six times," the head coach said following the 31-26 loss, according to Gilbert Manzano of the Orange County Register. "That's six times too many for me."

In Week 8, the Chargers squandered a 21-point lead against the Denver Broncos.

Blown leads have plagued the Bolts throughout the first half of the season, with four of their first five losses featuring double-digit meltdowns. All six of their defeats in 2020 have been decided by one possession.

In Week 9, Los Angeles found itself with two chances to score a game-winning touchdown from the Raiders' 4-yard line. On the first attempt, Mike Williams couldn't hang on to Justin Herbert's fade in the corner of the end zone. On the second try, Donald Parham initially appeared to come down with the catch. But after a review, officials determined the ball came loose and hit the ground.

"I thought it was a touchdown, but they overturned it," Lynn said.

The defeat drops Lynn's record with the Chargers to 28-28, with 20 of his losses coming by one score or less.

"We're really close, and that's probably one of the toughest parts," Herbert told reporters postgame, according to The Athletic's Daniel Popper.

The Chargers will take a 2-6 record into Week 10, when they'll meet the surging Miami Dolphins.
