The Houston Texans have reportedly fired vice president of communications Amy Palcic for no longer being "a cultural fit," according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Palcic was the first and only woman to have full public relations duties for an NFL team and won the Rozelle Award for best PR staff in 2017.

The firing was just the latest in a series of changes in Houston's front office. The Texans fired general manager Brian Gaine in 2019 and then relieved Bill O'Brien - who was serving as head coach and general manager - of his duties earlier this season.

Houston's executive vice president Jack Easterby - who also serves as interim general manager - will reportedly play a significant role in filling the front office positions.

The #Texans PR staff won the 2017 Rozelle Award. That's as good as it gets. Houston now has openings at key spots: Coach, GM, VP of Communications. Jack Easterby gets to remake the most high-profile spots in the organization. https://t.co/1RyY1axr7W

Palcic served as Houston's VP of communications since 2013 and also helped manage public appearances for Texans defensive end J.J. Watt.
