How can I create a KUBUNTU Bootable USB stick?

How can I create a KUBUNTU Bootable USB stick (8GB or 32GB) using 64-bit Windows7 to do so?
It is VERY hard to find consistent instructions on how to do this. . Prefer Windows GUI interface to do this because I'm new to Linux and only have Win7 installed now.
This seems to be a complicated thing to do - I've been trying to find a way to do this for two weeks with no success - just a plethora of conflicting opinions. There must be someplace I could just order CDs to try out a few distros. However, one thing I'm interested in is the configurability of the GUI interface and File Manager and I don't know if that can be done booting from a CD/DVD?
Thanks for any help you can offer, --Anne
