My htpc doesn't appear under the Network tab?
by bennylavalol from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5ABBN)
Hi all. I'm still working on solving this problem. My Manjaro Kde HTPC won't show up on the network tab of any other computer on my home network.
So for example, I have a gaming computer that runs Windows 10, and an office computer that runs Manjaro Kde. The HTPC won't show up in either OS. Nor does it show up on the router's device list. (Linksys EA-6500)
But the HTPC is connected to the network somehow, because I can browse the internet on it. So it's not a connectivity issue. It uses a Gigabyte brand wifi card that's plugged into a little PCIe slot.
If I can't access the little HTPC from any other computer on the network, then it isn't useful to me as an HTPC. I need to be able to transfer video files to it so I can watch movies on the couch. Anyone ever had this problem? Or have any idea how to solve it? Thanks!
