Lions' Swift misses practice with concussion

Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift missed practice Thursday with a concussion, the injury report revealed.

It's unclear when Swift suffered the injury, but he was a full participant in practice Wednesday and spoke to reporters afterward, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Swift has seemingly taken over the featured role in the Lions' backfield in recent weeks after beginning the year in a less prominent spot. The rookie manufactured 149 yards and a touchdown on a career-high 21 touches in the Lions' Week 10 victory over the Washington Football Team.

Detroit would turn to Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson at running back if he's unable to play against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

The Lions selected Swift in the second round of the 2020 draft following his brilliant college career at Georgia.
