Upgrade gone wrong - No kernel modules found
by epitaxial from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5AQJ3)
Hello all. I've been running slackware-current on an old laptop and decided to do an upgrade based on the instructions at https://docs.slackware.com/slackware:slackpkg
After it was finished I ran eliloconfig and added the new kernel. Upon rebooting I'm greeted with this error
Code:No kernel modules found for Linux 5.4.78
mount: mounting /dev/sda5 on /mnt failed: no such device
ERROR: no /sbin/init found on rootdev (or not mounted)So I guess the kernel modules weren't installed during the upgrade? Not sure how to fix this. Boot from other media, copy the modules over and run the build script? Thanks.
