Hamilton youth with COVID-19 dies
by Joanna Frketich - Spectator Reporter from on (#5AT7J)
A Hamilton girl under the age of 20 with COVID-19 has died.
A provincial database of COVID-19 deaths reports the young person caught the virus from close contact with a known case. The date listed is Nov. 19.
It is only the second time a child with COVID-19 has died in Ontario. It is the first COVID-related death of a person under 20 in Hamilton.
The first death was in June and at the time Toronto public health reported there was another unspecified cause. The death was investigated by Ontario's chief coroner.
More to come.
