buster kdewallet password
by indy336 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5AWY8)
Hello
i have installed and connected to the internet(through firefox) a slightly older acer laptop with BUSTER debian installed.
I forgot the password to login. so I changed the the "ro quiet spash" line to init=/bash/bin,then pressed ctrl+X to reboot then i changed the password using the passwd command. I then rebooted the system, entered the new password (which works). Once everything has loaded the network icon says it is connecting but waiting for authorisation. i try and enter the wifi password but it wont let me. Also when it has loaded straight after boot up there is a box entitled KDE wallet Servive- "The application 'kded5' has requested to open the wallet'kdewallet'. Please enter the password for this wallet below." - of course I dont know the password that it wants (Ive never used the wallet before).
Can someone tell me how to satisfy the KDE wallet service and/or connect to my wifi.
Many thanks to anyone who tries to help - regards DB
