How do I keep a drive from constantly sleeping?

I recently picked up an WD easystore 8TB drive. It's a white label: WD80EDAZ-11TA3A0. I successfully added it to my MDADM RAID 5 array but the drive is CONSTANTLY going into and out of sleep:

I believe that mdadm will poll drives every few seconds to keep them from going into standby mode by default but looks like the timeout value isn't quite short enough to keep this new drive awake. I don't want to have the heads parking every few seconds then going active again as I'm sure this will shorten the drives life. Is there a way to stop this drive from going to 'zzz' sleep every few seconds?
