[SOLVED] Keyboard Backlight Stopped Working

ArchLabs > Openbox(xfce) on Dell Inspiron 13 7000

When I installed this setup about a week ago the keyboard backlight was functioning normally (on at boot, off at shutdown). Today it is not working - turns on at the beginning of the boot process, when the Dell logo appears, and then turns off and stay off.

Yesterday and today I installed different icons and desktop theme, and I edited the config file for notifications. I have touched nothing else - at least not intentionally.

xfce4-power-manager.1.gz and xfce4-power-manager-settings1.gz are resident on my system in /usr/share/man/man1/ but do not appear to have been unpacked.

Code:[drew@archlabs-drew ~]$ systemctl status xfce4-power-manager
Unit xfce4-power-manager.service could not be found.
[drew@archlabs-drew ~]$Which begs the questions: (1) what was controlling the backlight before today; and (2) if I unzip and enable xfce4-power-manager is that going to cause conflicts or problems?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=KlJan385keM:oL58F1YGjaE:F7zBnMy latest?i=KlJan385keM:oL58F1YGjaE:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=KlJan385keM:oL58F1YGjaE:gIN9vFwKlJan385keM
