Introduction, 49 yo linux admin

Hi
I'm an old IT geek that has finally gotten my dream job. My first linux experience was back in 1993 at my college. I downloaded 34 floppy disks and installed SLS linux. Since then I have been very fond of Linux.
I have had a couple of jobs working with unix/linux. First at my college as a side job, I administred a HPUX server with 12 data lab thin clients while I played with linux on my student computer (laptops didn't exist back then).
Back in 2004 I started my own business selling ubuntu servers set up as a windows file, email and web server to small and medium companies with 4 included consultant hours pr. month. Got a few customers, but as a new dad I needed financial security and accepted a job as linux admin at a company. Sadly that company didn't make it and I got a job as a firewall/network/security specialist and stayed there for 11 years. Some linux tasks, but nothing worth bragging about.
After 11 years I got an offer moving from norway to Poland or India to keep my job. I did not accept that. Evn though a few years in India could have been interesting.
The last 3 years I continued working as a network/security specialist, but had a customer using linux for all their business. Got a LPIC-1 certification, planning on going all the way on LPI certs to have proof of my compentency built since 1993.
So, this summer I saw an ad for a job titled "Linux administrator" in a norwegian research institute. I applied and got the job. Started working there a month ago and now have the responsibility for everything linux, including user support. We are using abount 50/50 Ubuntu and CentOS.
So, since I now am a linux specialist full time, I figured i'd register to a few communities, both to help others and to ask for help myself when I need. And to get a network in my new profession. :)
So, that's me. I am looking forward to contributing to this community.
