Seahawks OC: Gordon addition gives Wilson 'another fun toy to play with'
The Seattle Seahawks are excited about the return of Josh Gordon.
The NFL announced Thursday that Gordon has completed his suspension for violating the league's policy on substance abuse and performance-enhancing drugs. He'll now be eligible to return to the Seahawks for their final two games of the regular season.
Though the reunion comes late in the campaign, the Seahawks are looking forward to the addition.
"He was an unbelievable pro. I mean just the way he worked ... He was awesome to have around," Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said, per Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR.
"He was awesome to have around. I can't wait to have him back and he gives (quarterback Russell Wilson) another fun toy to play with."
In 11 games with the Seahawks last season, Gordon recorded 27 receptions for 426 yards and a touchdown.
He rejoins a pass-catching corps led by DK Metcalf - the NFL's leader in receiving yards - and Tyler Lockett.
