enable windows tiling for Ubuntu 20.10 with gnome?
by linuxUser247 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5B90N)
I am using Ubuntu 20.10 Desktop with standard gnome DE on x11. It has windows tiling for the left and right side of the screen. I need a 2x2 grid with 4 "hot corners".
I did this just fine with Compiz on ~18.10, now it says compiz doesn't work with gnome - and indeed it crashes.
I installed gnome extension "Put Windows" which has a left and right division only.
I can use dconf editor to have a 2x2 grid but it does not resize the windows, nor does it activate when the window is maximized.
Unity had this feature out of the box, btw
any help is much appreciated, thank you
