Beginner instructions to install Knoppix on second flash drive on PC using Flash-Knoppix

I want to created a new Knoppix bootable flash drive using
- my Windows PC
- my old outdated Knoppix flash drive
- a downloaded iso image of the latest Knoppix
If possible, I would like the new flash drive to boot up on both PCs and MacBooks.
Where can I find very simple instructions?
(E.g. is KNOPPIX_V7.0.5CD-2012-12-21-EN.iso.sha1.asc the right image?
What format should I use?
Can I have persistence for Knoppix AND use some space on the drive to save Windows files?)
