Hamilton police looking for minivan after hit-and-run on Stone Church Road East
Hamilton police are asking for help identifying a minivan involved in a hit-and-run crash that sent a pedestrian to hospital last week.
The 20-year-old victim was eastbound on Stone Church Road East, crossing at Redmond Drive, when she was struck by a light-coloured minivan around 11:30 p.m. Nov. 30, police said.
The pedestrian walked to a nearby residence and Hamilton paramedics were called. She was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are investigating and released a video of the collision Tuesday. It shows the woman crossing the street before a minivan, which was turning left, hits her. The impact lifts the pedestrian onto the hood of the vehicle, before she falls off. The minivan does not slow or stop.
The victim can be seen on the ground, waving for help. Several vehicles pass nearby, but no one stops. After several seconds, she stands up and walks to safety.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-546-3886.
