Grace period for supermarkets will last three months while full checks on chilled meats will not kick in for six months
A Brexit threat to the British banger in Belfast has been lifted, Michael Gove has said as the EU and UK declare peace over food supply across the Irish sea.
In what some have dubbed sausage wars", both sides have agreed a six-month delay on mandatory health checks on all chilled meats going from Great Britain to Northern Ireland and a three-month grace period for all other food suppliers selling into the supermarkets and corner stores.
