Need help troubleshooting xdrp connection

To start, this WAS a working setup, been using it for over a year to get onto the desktop of my home server when I feel the need to be lazy or would prefer to not use ssh. Not sure what happened, thinking an update broke something but have zero evidence of that.
I'm getting the Connection Attemp 0/1 - 20 thing in a loop. I've googled around and seems some people fix it by switching security from Negotiate to TLS which I tried without luck. I've purged and reinstalled xrdp on the server side, and remmina on my side, also no luck at all. Checked that port 3389 is open and that's it's still set to forward in my firewall which it is. Any recommendations?
