Second man charged with first-degree murder in Six Nations shooting death

A second person has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 27-year-old man who was shot on the driveway of Cayuga Road home on Nov. 30.

The victim, Andrew Davis of Six Nations, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say 22-year-old Eric Jerome Smoke was arrested and charged with first-degree murder Friday. The Hamilton man is expected to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date.

Six Nations Police put out a warrant for Smoke on Dec. 4. Police said at the time Smoke was considered to be possibly armed and dangerous."

The arrest comes days after police charged 24-year-old Andrew Brent Smoke of Six Nations with first-degree murder on Dec. 3. He and the victim were known to each other, police said.
