Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard will miss the remainder of the 2020 season and declare for the 2021 NFL Draft, head coach Mike Gundy said Saturday, according to Tulsa World's Frank Bonner II.

"Chuba's chosen to go to the NFL," said Gundy.

The redshirt junior has been dealing with a nagging injury for much of this year. He's missed the Cowboys' last two games and had 14 carries in the entire month of November. He hasn't played since a 41-13 loss at Oklahoma on Nov. 21.

The Sherwood Park, Alberta, native decided to return to Stillwater at the end of the 2019 season after leading the FBS in rushing with 2,904 yards and 21 touchdowns,

Hubbard has 133 carries for 625 yards and five touchdowns this season.

The announcement comes just hours ahead of Oklahoma State's regular-season finale against Baylor. Along with Hubbard, the Cowboys could be without fellow running back LD Brown and star receiver Tylan Wallace, who are both game-time decisions.

Dezmon Jackson is expected to see an expanded role on Saturday.
