OK, I did yet another rebuild.....
by kevinbenko from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5BK59)
I received four 3TB HHDs, from NewEgg, yesterday, I spent about 36 hours straight getting my system up and running. I am currently in the process of reading my previous drives and writing them to my new drives... Aaannnddd I decided to install Debian Testing.... yet again...
{I think I hate myself}
I have two simple questions:
1: Before my stroke in 2011, I was using the {heck} out of LVM (Logical Volume Management). Do you all {or Y'all} suggest/recommend I delve back into the LVM thing again?
2: I chose Seagate drives (4 of 3TB, since I backup most, but not all, things). Now, I cannot get access to the "reviews" section of LinuxQuestions.org, so I am asking what your opinion of Seagate HHDs is. {back in the day, Seagate was the absolute best for the hobbyist, but I have heard that it is not so good anymore}. What is your (or Y'alls) opinion of Seagate drives today?
I thank you for any responses, and have a wonderful day!
